The town of Chantemerle...

Chantemerle lies central between Briancon and Villeneuve, offering the best of the pistes in Serre Chevalier. Chantemerle is a typical ski resort village with its main square, sports shops, supermarkets, and few bars, such as The Bar Yeti after ski, Kitzbühel after ski, and the new eXtreme bar. On average Chantemerle is one of the calmer towns more focused on the ultimate in fun sport. Besides the skiing attractions Chantemerle also offers snow scooters with Chantemerle's Sun Scoot, aerial sports with Surf'Air and Les Aigles du Brianconnais, an ice-rink, a fitness centre named L'Altiforme, cabaret at the local L'Escapade Karaoké, the Cinéma Le Serre d'Aigle and the for the night owls a dance club named La Dune.

Nestled between Briancon and Villeneuve Chantemerle is the traditional skier's safe haven. With access to nearly all of the pistes Serre Chevalier has to offer and at 1,350 meters of altitude it holds the offer of a complete skiing or snowboading holiday. Serre Chevalier nearly always happens upon great weather to accompany these activities with an average of 300 days of sun per year and a measly 88 days of rain. Dotted all over the village are a varied assortment of apartments, hotels, chalets and small residences, a number of which are owned by frequent holiday skiers and owners of the very few after ski bars in Serre Chevalier. Chantemerle is the perfect place for those most interested in the sport and relaxation!

Chantmerle is not only the main village in the ski resort, the many ski lifts also ensure that the entire ski resort is perfectly accessible. Chantemerle is the home of triple Olympic champion Luc Alphand. One of the most beautiful and challenging black slopes in the ski area is named after him.
