How do I get here?
Serre Chevalier is easily accessible by plane, car and train - whatever you prefer.

The nearest airport To Serre Chevalier is Turin (Caselle) in Italy with a transfer time of between 1.5 - 2.5 hours. The European 'budget' airline Ryanair (www.ryanair.com) operates to and from Turin and usually offers good deals. Alternatively, you can fly to Chambery, Lyon (Satalas), Grenoble (St Geoirs) or Marseille in France and expect transfers of between 2 - 4 hours.

If you choose to drive to the resorts of Serre Chevalier, you are best accessing the valley either:
  • via Grenoble from the North and taking the 'Col du Lautaret' pass - from here the villages of Serre Chevalier are just a 30 minute drive.
  • via Embrun from the South, into Briancon (Serre Chevalier 1200) from where you can drive through each of the mountain villages of Serre Chevalier - each one is just minutes apart.
  • via Oulx and Montgenevre in Italy, and an eye-catching 45 minute journey to Serre Chevalier's Briancon.

Serre Chevalier is accessible by train from different areas of France and Italy; Paris - Lyon - Briancon, Marseille - Briancon, Lyon - Grenoble - Briancon or you can get to Oulx in Italy and this is just a 45 minute journey by car to Briancon.
